Why we made it
We made Kids Movie Player for our own son. We wanted him to have his favorite shows and dance songs without autoplay leading somewhere we didn't choose and without ads. It worked so well that we wanted other families to have it too.
You pick every video
Your kids see your movies, your shows and your songs, and nothing else. No search bar, no suggestions, nothing to stumble into.
Zero ads
No commercials, no "skip in 5 seconds", no toy ads in the middle of a cartoon. Just the show.
No rabbit holes
When an episode ends, the next episode of the same show plays. It never jumps to something "recommended".
Made for little hands
Big pictures, bright colors, and a remote that's easy to figure out. Even toddlers can find their favorite show.
Their name on the screen
The title says "Emma's Movie Player" (or whatever name you type in), so it feels like theirs.
Keeps their place
"Keep watching" picks up right where they stopped, on every show.
Private by design
Your videos stay on your own computer, on your own Wi-Fi. We don't collect anything, so there's nothing to leak.
Works without the internet
Internet down? Videos still play, because they come from your computer, not the cloud.
How it works
- Put your kids' videos in a folder on a Windows computer: Movies, TV Shows, songs, anything.
- Install our free library program on that computer. It finds the videos and makes the pictures.
- Add Kids Movie Player to your Roku, type in the address and code it shows you, and you're done.
